One of my life’s focuses has been to bring about happiness through food whether that be in our restaurants, on television shows or in cookbooks. I consider it a noble calling to cook for and serve others from the heart. Through my television shows and books, much of passion and energy has been applied in an effort to lure people back into their kitchens. Interestingly enough, we’ve become incredibly food obsessed, yet as a culture, we are cooking less and less.
For many, food has become a hobby that is relegated to the weekends and holidays while others shy from it for fear of culinary failure. It’s for these two types of folks that I’ve written Cooking From The Heart; full of delicious anecdotes, cooking lessons and tasty recipes. My goal is to remove both the mystique and snobbery that often cloaks good cooking as well as giving people the support they need to cook with confidence.
It’s with this in mind that we’ve created the Besh Box where each month I’ll send new recipes, cooking and entertaining tips, my favorite ingredients as well as tools that I can’t live without. In essence it’s like having a private cooking lesson with me each month, while your pantry and culinary prowess increases.
