Someone on Twitter claiming to be a fired Raising Cane's employee revealed the recipe of the chain's secret sauce. Or so she says. Raising Cane's would not even confirm that the Twitter user ever worked at the chain.
NOLA Smokehouse, one of the best sources for barbecue in the New Orleans area, closed for good on Saturday (Oct. 3). The owner and pit master, Rob Bechtold, cited a family illness as the reason for the closure. Let's hope Bechtold smokes again soon in this city.
Chef John Besh's latest book, "Besh Big Easy," is aimed at the home cook in New Orleans.
